Recycling Christmas Trees
Natural Christmas trees placed curbside will be picked up by the Department of Public Works beginning the first Monday in January through the third Monday in January (weather permitting). Trees should not be buried after a snowfall. Please be sure to have your tree out by the end of your driveway well before then to ensure it tree gets picked up!
As a reminder, trees in PLASTIC BAGS and/or trees with lights or decorations WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. Artificial trees or flocked trees go in your regular garbage. Wreaths, which are normally assembled with wire, go in your regular garbage.
After pickup is complete, the Department of Public Works will NOT be back out to pick up trees again. The next opportunity for disposal will be during Recycle Center hours when they resume on Saturdays in March.
