Park and Open Space Plan
Over the course of the 2015 year, work was done to update the 2005 Comprehensive Park and Open Space Plan. The Village conducted a survey of 600 random Elm Grove residents as well as several focus groups asking residents what their feelings were regarding park features and future park and recreation developments. These ideas were then utilized by the Park and Open Space Ad-hoc Committee to create a framework of actionable steps and included in the 2016 Comprehensive Park and Open Space Plan.
The Elm Grove Recreation Committee and Park and Open Space Ad-hoc Committee reviewed the 2016 Park and Open Space Plan and the plan was then reviewed by the Village of Elm Grove Board of Trustees for formal approval. Adoption and implementation of this plan will, over time, continue to provide a Village-wide system of park and open spaces, highlighting the local natural resources and provide high quality programs, activities and events that utilized these spaces. Below you will find a brief summary of the overall plan, in addition to the full document.
